Important information on trading with 25Hz thermal imaging cameras
A requirement for a written declaration for trading with thermal imaging cameras with a refresh rate of 25fps (25Hz) has recently been introduced. This declaration is demanded by the US government. Consequently, 25Hz thermal imaging cameras may only be exported to the following countries:
Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom
To ensure this, every company including the end customer involved in trade with 25Hz thermal imaging cameras is obligated by the US company to print an appropriate document on its company letterhead paper, to sign this document and to send it by post to the following address. Every company is required to keep a copy of the signed document for at least 5 years and to submit this upon request to the US authorities. An order can only be delivered after all documents have been submitted to FLIR.

Thermal imaging cameras with refresh rates of 8.3fps and 9fps (8.3/9Hz) are not affected by this rule, possible such a version should be preferred to a 25Hz version.
