To prevent your web browser from using cookies, you can go to your browser’s settings and disable cookies, allow only certain websites to place cookies on your computer or have your browser notify you every time a cookie is sent. Please note that this may result in parts of the website being no longer visible to you and your user experience being affected. You can also delete cookies at any time. As a result, all information stored in the cookies will be removed from your device.

 2.3. Social Plugins

We are currently using the following social media plug-ins: [Facebook, Twitter, Xing, LinkedIn]. You can recognise the plug-in provider by the marking on the grey box, by the first character of its name or by the logo. We enable you to communicate with the plug-in provider directly via the button provided. According to the respective providers of the Facebook and Xing plug-ins, your IP address will be anonymised right after it is collected by them in Germany. By enabling the plug-ins, your personal data will therefore be transmitted to the respective plug-in provider where they are stored (by American providers in the United States). The plug-in providers primarily use cookies to collect your personal data. We therefore recommend you to delete all cookies via the privacy settings of your browser before you click on the greyed out box.

We have no influence on what data is collected nor on how they are processed. We further have no knowledge of the full scope of data collection, the purposes for which they are processed and the retention periods. We do not have any information on the deletion of the collected data by the plug-in providers either

The plug-in providers store the personal data they collect about you in the form of user profiles and use them for advertising, market research and/or targeted website design purposes. In particular, your data is analysed (this also applies to users who are not logged in) to be able to show you targeted advertising and to inform other users of the respective social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of such user profiles. To exercise this right, you need to contact the respective plug-in provider. By incorporating the plug-ins into our website, we enable you to interact with the social networks and other users, which in turn allows us to improve our web presence and create content that is more relevant to you. The legal basis for the use of plug-ins is Art 6 (1)(1)(f) GDPR.

Your data is transmitted regardless of whether you have an account with the respective plug-in provider and are logged in or not. If you are logged in, data collected on our website will be directly associated with your social network account. If you click on the enabled button and, for example, share a link to our website, the respective plug-in provider will save this information to your user profile too and publicly notify your contacts about it. We recommend you to regularly log out of your account after visiting a social network and particularly before enabling the button as this allows you to prevent your activities from being associated with your social network profile.

For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by the plug-in providers, please refer to the following privacy policies made available by them. Their policies also include information on your rights and the settings options for protecting your privacy.

4. Use of Google Adwords Conversion

We use the offer of Google Adwords in order to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. In relation to the data of the advertising campaigns we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. We thus pursue the interest to display advertising to you which is of interest for you, to design our website so that it is more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.

These advertising media are delivered by Google via so-called “Ad Server”. For this purpose we use Ad Server cookies, through which certain parameters can be assessed for measuring the success, such as the fading in of the advertisements or clicks by the users. Insofar as you reach our website via a Google advertisement a cookie will be stored in your PC by Google Adwords. As a rule, these cookies cease to be valid after 30 days and should not serve to identify you personally. In relation to this cookie as a rule the Unique Cookie-ID, number of Ad Impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for Post-View-Conversions) as well as opt-out-information (marking that the user would not like to be addressed any more) are stored as analysis values.

These cookies enable Google to recognise your internet browser again. Insofar as a user visits certain pages of the website of an Adwords customer and the cookie stored on his computer has not expired yet Google and the customer can recognise that the user clicked on the advertisement and was forwarded to this page. A different cookie is allocated to each Adwords customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. We do not collect and process any personal data ourselves in the stated advertising measures. Merely statistical evaluations are made available to us by Google. Based on these evaluations we can recognise which of the used advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive more detailed data from the use of the advertising media, in particular we cannot identify the users based on this information.

Owing to the used marketing tools your browser automatically sets up a direct connection to with the server of Google. We have no influence on the scope and the further use of the data, which are collected by the use of this tool by Google and therefore inform you in line with the status of our knowledge: By the integration of AdWords Conversion Google receives the information that you have called the corresponding part of our internet presence or have clicked on one of our advertisements. If you are registered with a service of Google, Google can allocate the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or you have not logged in there is the possibility that the provider will find out and store your IP address.

You can prevent the participation in this tracking procedure in various ways: a) by a corresponding setting of your browser software, in particular the suppression of third party cookies leads to the fact that you do not receive any advertisements of third party providers; b) by deactivation of the cookies for Conversion-Tracking, by setting your browser so that cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com” are blocked, https://www.google.de/settings/ads, whereby this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies; c) by deactivation of the interest-related advertisements of the providers, which are part of the self-regulation campaign “About Ads”, via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices, whereby this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies; d) by a permanent deactivation in your browsers Firefox, Internetexplorer or Google Chrome under the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. We would like to point out that in this case you will, if applicable, not be able to use all functions of this offer to the full extent.

The legal basis for processing your data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. You can find further information pertaining to data protection at Google here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) under http://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has submitted itself to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Besides Adwords Conversion we use the application Google Remarketing. This is a procedure with which we would like to address you once again. Through this application our advertisements can be faded in and displayed to you after a visit to our website during your further use of the internet. This is carried out by means of cookies stored in your browser, through which your usage behaviour is recorded and evaluated by Google when visiting various websites. Your previous visit to our website can thus be determined by Google. An amalgamation of the data collected within the scope of the remarketing with your personal data, which are if applicable stored by Google, does not take place by Google according to its own statements. According to Google a pseudonymisation is in particular used with the remarketing.
